CASINO – Thanks to all the volunteers!
Thank you to everyone who took time off their busy schedule and volunteered for the Casino December 17 and 18. Some families even did two or more shifts! Your time and effort is really appreciated.
Huge thanks to Holly M. who organized us, and our two fabulous casino advisors, Christy and Trish!
The money raised, upwards of $70,000, will pay for books, technology (smart boards, chrome books, etc), the art enrichment program (artist in residence, music and drama workshops), field trips and much more.
Winter Concert filming and raffle
The Raffle at the Winter Concert raised 1000$! Congratulations to all the winners.
A big thank you to Joanne L. and Kelly O. for organizing and to the parents that helped with setting up, taking down and selling tickets.
We also want to thank all the local businesses and individuals that donated the fabulous prices:
La Boule Bakery
Colour du Vino
Healing Waters Spa
We also hope everyone enjoyed the phone and iPad free experience.
Thank you to Keith Mayo who again donated his time and sound equipment for the concert. We also would like to thank Carey Opper and Joel Tolhurst for making the video of the concert that is available to the school families. If you have not received the email with the link, just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ice Cream Fridays by No-Frills
Thank you to No-Frills for their continued support and donating ice creams for our Ice Cream Fridays!
Thanks you also to everyone who bought the ice cream passes! The money raised by this fund-raiser will be used towards the programs and events supported by KEEPAC such as fruit days, school dance, parent workshops, movie night etc. If you didn’t get a pass, students can still bring $1 to the school to purchase ice cream.
Thanks to Laurence S. for organizing this and all the volunteer ice-cream-sellers!
Fruit Basket Sponsored by No-Frills
Thank-you to No-Frills who is now donating all the fruit for the basket in the office! This is fruit that kids (or anyone else that wants some) can grab if they need a snack. Thank you to Laurence S. for picking up the fruit every week!
We still need a classroom rep. for Grade 1! Please let us know if you can fill this position.
If you looking for a way to contribute to your child’s learning experience but don’t have evening childcare and/or can’t attend meetings, you could help with Friday ice cream days, hot lunches or provide input on the Arts Enrichment Plan, Book fair. These are just a few of the things that KEEPAC members do to help make King Edward Elementary the best learning and growth environment it can be for students. To find out how you can contribute, please email email@example.com.
The next KEEPAC meetings this year will be held on February 12, March 19, April 16, May 14.
Agendas and minutes for Parent Council meetings are also available upon request.
