Update from the KEEPAC April 2017

Science Fair April 6

The Science Fair was a smashing (for the frozen flowers, literally smashing) success!  Over 40 kids participated with projects. Thanks so much to the students who worked so hard on their cool projects and to parent Joanne L-Y for organizing.

And a big thank-you to the University of Alberta grad students Joseph, M’Lynn Jessie, and Laine for their enthusiastic presentation!

For pictures see the the newsletter at SchoolZone!

School Dance Thursday April 27

The Spring fling was awesome – but we are saving the update and pictures until next month! There is so much happening at our school!

Fruit basket sponsored by No-Frills

Thank-you to No-Frills who is now donating all the fruit for the basket in the office! This is fruit that kids (or anyone else that wants some) can grab if they need a snack and will be kept stocked up by parents from the school.

Volunteers Appreciated

Are you looking for a way to contribute to your child’s learning experience but don’t have evening childcare and/or can’t attend meetings? Maybe there is another reason that you haven’t been able to volunteer in the past but KEEPAC has lots of opportunities to contribute that can fit into your busy schedule. You could help with Friday ice cream days, Pizza lunches or provide input on the Arts Enrichment Plan, Book fair. These are just a few of the things that KEEPAC members do to help make King Edward Elementary the best learning and growth environment it can be for students. To find out how you can contribute, please email keepac1@gmail.com.

Our next meeting will be TUESDAY May 16 at 6.30 in the teachers lounge.
